Last night, BPaul, Tobie and I headed out on the gravel for the Wednesday night ride. The weather was 36 degrees, damp, windy, and the air was thick. The forecast called for dropping temps and rain. I was a bit surprised no one else showed up for the ride, but was glad to see I wasn’t alone.
We put in close to 30 miles of gravel and B-roads. The B-road section was the portion of Harter Road that was in the Night Bison.
The forecast was accurate. It was cold, getting colder. It rained. It was windy.
Riding in weather like that–it’s fun. I can’t tell you quite why, because it can be miserable, too…but it’s fun. BPaul called it. They were Tough Man Miles.
